The Pershing Road Redevelopment at 1769 W Pershing Road in Chicago, IL is part of the city's broader efforts to revitalize key areas, particularly in the McKinley Park neighborhood. The existing 540,000 square ft, 6-story building nestled on approximately 6 acres of land will include 172 affordable and attainable housing units, 172 affordable/ attainable housing units, 180,000 square feet of Tech/ Science lab, office and advanced manufacturing space, a free-standing 50,000 square ft retail center, outdoor green space as well as indoor amenities including a community room, and exercise facility for all tenants. The project involves cutting out the middle of the warehouse for an interior courtyard and bringing in light, The project will also preserve the entire historical façade of the building.
